You won’t be able to learn many things from the book Revolution 2020 : Love, Corruption and Ambition as this book is ought to be lived. It is a very delightful book and a must read for sure. Its worth your time. This depicts and expresses all the colors of life in a very genuine and pure way, although the story gets unrealistic at some points but that can be ignored. Many people can relate to it very easily. It contains all the spices necessary to hold a reader until the very end of the story and also showcased the problem of being friend zoned by a girl and also of corruption very well. Chetan here tried his best to keep the story real and to build a connection with his readers by the book Revolution 2020 : Love, Corruption and Ambition and had succeeded to a great extent.


Storyline:

The story in Revolution 2020 revolves around 3 friends living in Varanasi. Gopal, Arti and Raghav preparing for their engineering entrance exam. Raghav is a rich and an intelligent boy, Arti is an elite and Gopal on other hand is neither rich nor a bright student in studies. Gopal is the main character in the story. Gopal’s father is a teacher and his mother died when he was young. Gopal likes Arti very much. The life is going like anything till the IIT results came and he gets to know that he hasn’t qualified the exam while Raghav did. This is when the three friends get separated Gopal decided to go to Kota for studying and Raghav beside getting a good rank in the IIT exams decided not to pursue engineering and decided to do journalism. Life is hard for Gopal there and become harder when he got to know that Arti has started dating his friend Raghav. The story is all about how he faced some difficult situations in life and how he became determined to be rich and ended up being rich eventually. Then meeting  Arti and Raghav again. And how besides being engaged with Raghav, Arti still wants to maintain a connection with Gopal and how he sacrificed his project for his friend Raghav realizing Raghav is a good man.


Best parts of Story:

There are many segments in the book Revolution 2020 like the way Chetan Bhagat described the life of a student preparing for entrance examination and Kota life was so on point and I can bet many of us can easily feel the connection with that segment. Moreover he also depicted ones need to get rich and indulging in corrupt activities for it eventually and realizing and regretting it later.


Why one must read the Book

The Revolution 2020 book comes with all the typical Chetan Bhagat hallmarks and is flooded with emotions and feelings of sacrifice, love, selflessness, regrets and many more. The book will make you emotional. The book also offers many interesting insights into fast changing contemporary India and its systems. Gopal’s love story is somewhat frustrating as Arti not allowing him to appear deserving. Book will teach us how sometimes we have to give up certain things for others happiness and how determination can bring anything we need in life. Hence concluded this is a must read.
